HGV Braking, ABS and EBS Diagnostics in Bromsgrove
Braking faults are where most of our workshop time goes, and they are what we are approved for. We are an authorised service centre for WABCO, Knorr-Bremse and SAF axles, and diagnosing Haldex ABS and EBS faults is one of the things we do most often.

Diagnosed on manufacturer equipment
An EBS warning lamp is a symptom, not a fault. We read the system on manufacturer diagnostic equipment so the actual fault is identified — a sensor, a modulator, a valve, a wiring fault or a genuine mechanical problem — rather than replacing parts in order until the light goes out.
We work on truck and trailer systems, and on combinations where the fault only appears once the two are coupled, which is the case that tends to defeat a general workshop.
Approved for the systems we work on
Being an authorised centre for WABCO, Knorr-Bremse and SAF means we work to the manufacturer’s procedures with their equipment and their parts. For an operator, that matters most when a braking repair has to stand up in a maintenance file.
We can brake test the vehicle on the rollers before and after, so the repair is evidenced by figures rather than by a road test and an opinion.

Brakes & ABS/EBS questions
Which braking systems are you approved to work on?
Yes — it is one of the things we do most. We diagnose and repair Haldex ABS and EBS systems on manufacturer diagnostic equipment, and we are an authorised service centre for WABCO and Knorr-Bremse braking systems as well.
My EBS light only comes on when the trailer is coupled. Can you find that?
Yes. Faults that only appear on the combination are common and they are the ones a general workshop tends to struggle with. Bring the unit and the trailer together so we can read the system as it actually runs.
Are you approved by the braking manufacturers?
We are an authorised service centre for WABCO, Knorr-Bremse and SAF axles, which means we work to their procedures with their equipment and parts.
Will you brake test after the repair?
We can, and we would recommend it. A rolling road test before and after gives you printed figures showing what the repair actually achieved, which is worth far more in a maintenance file than a note saying it was fixed.
