Haulage
Curtain-Side Haulage Across the UK
Curtain siders give you a flatbed you can load from the side and weather protection you cannot get from one. It is the sensible default for palletised freight and for anything that must not get wet.

Side loading with the weather kept out
The curtains pull back so a forklift can load along the whole length of the trailer, which is far quicker than working through rear doors and makes uneven or awkward pallets much easier to place. Once the curtains are closed the load is out of the weather for the whole run.
It suits palletised goods, packaged products, bagged materials and anything that would be fine on a flatbed except that it cannot be rained on.

Curtain-side haulage questions
When is a curtain sider better than a flatbed?
When the load must not get wet, or when loading along the side with a forklift is quicker than working through rear doors. If the load is oversized, or needs lifting from above, a flatbed or a crane lorry is the better answer.
Do you carry palletised freight?
Yes, that is most of what goes on a curtain sider. Tell us the number of pallets, their weight and whether there is a forklift at each end.
How far will a curtain sider run?
Yes, we run nationwide. Bromsgrove sits between M5 Junction 5 and M42 Junction 1, which puts most of England and Wales within a straightforward day’s run.

Flatbed transport
Flatbeds are what we run for anything that loads from the side or the top, or that simply will not go through a set of doors — steel, construction materials, machinery and oversized loads.
HIAB crane lorries
A HIAB is a lorry with its own crane, so it loads and unloads itself.
Specialised transport
Some loads are not freight.
Vans & pickups
Not everything needs a lorry.
