Flatbed Transport and Haulage from Worcestershire
Flatbeds are what we run for anything that loads from the side or the top, or that simply will not go through a set of doors — steel, construction materials, machinery and oversized loads. We are FORS accredited and an HS2 approved supplier, which opens sites that are closed to most hauliers.
What goes on a flatbed
Steel and construction materials are the bulk of it: beams, sheet, mesh, blocks and bagged goods going into sites. Plant and machinery is the other half, along with loads that are simply too wide or too tall for a curtain sider.
Tell us the weight, the dimensions and how it needs to come off at the other end when you call. Those three things decide the vehicle, and getting them right on the phone saves a wasted journey.
Sites that check who you are
FORS is the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme — it audits vehicle safety, driver standards and how the operation is actually run. Many local authority, construction and infrastructure contracts will not let a haulier on site without it, and we hold it alongside HS2 approved supplier status.
If your load is going somewhere that will ask for accreditation at the gate, that is the part worth checking before you book anyone.
Flatbed transport questions
What can you carry on a flatbed?
Steel, construction materials, plant, machinery and loads that are too wide or too tall for a curtain sider. Tell us the weight, the dimensions and how it needs unloading and we will tell you the right vehicle for it.
Can you load or unload where there is no forklift?
Yes — that is what our HIAB crane lorries are for. A crane-mounted vehicle loads and unloads itself, so you do not need lifting equipment at either end. Tell us the access when you call.
Do you carry oversized loads?
We carry loads that are too wide or too tall for a standard trailer. Give us the exact dimensions and weight when you call and we will tell you straight away whether it is something we can run and what it needs.
Why does FORS matter for my delivery?
Many local authority, construction and infrastructure sites will not admit a haulier without FORS accreditation. We hold it, along with HS2 approved supplier status, so we can deliver to sites that turn other hauliers away at the gate.
