Areas we cover
Areas We Cover for HGV MOT Testing
Our testing facility is at 27 Aston Rd, Aston Fields Industrial Estate, Bromsgrove, B60 3EX — close to M5 Junction 5 and M42 Junction 1. Those two junctions are the reason the catchment looks the way it does: they put us on the road that operators in south Birmingham, the Black Country, north Worcestershire and the M5 corridor already use, without any of them having to cross a city to get here.
Towns and areas
Every area below is tested on the same lane, by the same examiners, on the same terms — rigids, tractor units, trailers and PSVs. What changes from one town to the next is why operators there make the journey, so each page is written about that rather than about us. If your town is not listed, it does not mean we cannot test for you: ring 01527 870400 and ask.
Bromsgrove
Our home town. The testing facility, the workshop and the yard are all on Aston Fields Industrial Estate, so local operators have the lot on the doorstep.
Redditch
About eight miles along the A448, and close enough that a vehicle can be dropped in and worked on inside the same shift.
Droitwich Spa
About eight miles up the A38, with no motorway involved — the nearest annual testing a Droitwich yard has.
Halesowen
About ten miles on the A456 and M5, for engineering fleets whose lorries spend their lives at the top of the plate.
Kidderminster
About twelve miles on the A450 and A448, with WABCO, Knorr-Bremse, SAF and Haldex braking work done in house.
Stourbridge
About twelve miles, for tipper and flatbed operators who want an honest opinion before the examiner gives an official one.
Worcester
About fifteen miles up the M5 to Junction 5, with every class on one lane — goods vehicles, trailers and coaches.
Birmingham
M42 to Junction 1 and across to M5 Junction 5, so south-side fleets test on the edge of the conurbation rather than inside it.
Solihull
At the Bromsgrove end of the M42 corridor, for supply-chain operators who need the test to be an appointment, not a deadline.
Evesham
About twenty miles on the A46 and M5, with the booking aimed away from the weeks the season cannot spare.
Tewkesbury
About twenty-five miles up the M5 from Junction 9, where the argument is one visit that finishes the job rather than two that do not.
Coventry
About thirty miles on the M42 and M6, for operators who will travel for a slot that actually fits the shift.
Whichever direction you come from, the useful part is what sits behind the test lane. The workshop is on the same site, so a failure item is quoted and put right here instead of sending the vehicle on to a third party, and the vehicle goes back on the lane without leaving Aston Fields. A retest is charged separately from the annual test and follows the class of vehicle, so a trailer, a goods vehicle and a PSV are not all the same — and it costs a good deal less than starting again with a full test. We are a DVSA authorised testing facility, FORS approved and an HS2 approved supplier, and an authorised service centre for WABCO, Knorr-Bremse and SAF.
To book, use the online MOT booking or call 01527 870400. If you are not sure which class your vehicle or trailer falls into, tell us the axle count — or the seating capacity for a coach — and you will have the exact figure before you commit to anything.
