Can you look at the body and gear while the vehicle is here?
The annual test is about roadworthiness, but a tipper only earns if the rest of it works too. This is a full commercial workshop rather than a test-lane workshop, so if something else needs doing while the vehicle is with us, say so when you book and we will tell you straight whether we can take it on that day.
Can we find out what would fail before we book the test?
Yes, and for a hard-worked vehicle it is the sensible order. A pre-test inspection is carried out against the same manual the examiner uses, and you get the findings priced before anything is done. Plenty of Stourbridge operators book the inspection and the test together and use the gap between them.
Do you test a drawbar trailer and the unit together?
Bring both. They are tested in their own right and the trailer is priced on its axle count, but putting them through on the same visit means one journey from Stourbridge instead of two, and the outfit goes home complete.
