Our Testing Facility, Workshop and Yard
Everything is on one site on Aston Fields Industrial Estate: the DVSA authorised test lane, the workshop that prepares and repairs the vehicles that use it, the rolling road, and a gated yard with room for anything up to a full-length artic.

The test lane
We are a DVSA Authorised Testing Facility, which means a DVSA examiner attends our site to carry out annual tests using our lane and our equipment. You book a slot that suits your operation instead of travelling to a government test station and taking whatever time you are given.
We test rigids, tractor units, trailers and PSVs. Goods vehicles are priced on axle count, trailers on their own axle count and PSVs on seating capacity.
The workshop, fifty yards away
The workshop is the reason the lane is worth using. A vehicle that fails does not need moving to get fixed — most rectification happens the same day and the vehicle is presented again inside the retest window without a second journey.
We are an authorised service centre for WABCO, Knorr-Bremse and SAF axles, and Haldex ABS and EBS diagnosis is one of the things we do most. Preventative maintenance inspections to your operator licence interval are carried out here too, with the completed records issued every visit.
Brake testing and the yard
A rolling road brake test measures what each brake actually delivers and produces printed figures for the maintenance file — worth considerably more at a DVSA visit than an inspection sheet saying the brakes were checked.
The yard is a gated commercial site, occupied through working hours, with space for rigids, tractor units, standalone trailers and vans, plus large-capacity storage for plant, containers, porta cabins and boats. We are minutes from M5 Junction 5 and close to M42 Junction 1, so there is no difficult final mile.

Frequently asked questions
What does being an ATF mean for the vehicles you test?
A private site approved by the DVSA to host heavy goods vehicle annual tests. A DVSA examiner attends our site and carries out the test using our lane and equipment, so you book a slot that suits your operation rather than travelling to a government test station.
Is there room for an artic or a drawbar outfit?
Yes. We are a working commercial vehicle site and we test and work on rigids, tractor units, trailers and PSVs every day, so there is space to manoeuvre a full-length artic or drawbar combination.
Can a vehicle be tested and repaired in the same visit?
That is the main reason to use us. The workshop is on the same site as the lane, so preparation, test, rectification and retest normally happen without the vehicle leaving.
