What happens to the rest of the day if it fails?
The fitters are here, not somewhere else. In most cases the failure item is quoted, put right on site and the vehicle goes back on the lane in the same visit, with the retest charged separately and at a fraction of a full test. What you do not have to do is take an unroadworthy lorry back up the M42 looking for someone with capacity.
Our servicing is on a manufacturer contract. Can you just do the test?
Yes. Plenty of vehicles come to us for the annual test alone and go back to their own workshop for everything else, and you will not be pushed into work you have not asked for. If we see something the examiner has not, we will tell you what it is and leave the decision with you.
